Armageddon It (2020):

With this exhibition I employed a drawing style very different from what I used before. Some of the drawings were done from memory, which gave them a stripped down quality – simpler and more direct. I was inspired by comic strips and science fiction novels. I aimed at creating my own apocalyptic world, populated by monsters, giants, robots and demons. There is a quality of absurdity, spectacle, perhaps even humour in the drawings which I had not really explored before. The exhibition took place in 2020, at The Open Window Now Gallery in Centurion, Gauteng.
